"Courageous Communication Strategies"
Alex's presentations translate expert content in a concrete, engaging way. His presentations pursue "better leaders through better communication strategy." He calls these strategies courageous because they often call leaders to higher standards of excellence and challenge common--but often ineffective--practices in many organizations today.
He is a full-time, tenured Associate Professor at The College at Brockport (State University of New York) where he is the director of the college's graduate program in communication. He is the author of numerous workplace communication and leadership studies published in books and national and international peer-reviewed journals such as Communication Monographs, Management Communication Quarterly, Journal of Applied Communication Research and others.
He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses related specifically to issues of organizational communication, issues, strategies, and skills. In addition to teaching college, Alex has worked in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. His presentations weave these professional experiences with the latest research to provide speaking and consulting services to leaders of small and large organizations across industries.
